Hello there xanga-verse! I thought I'd grace you with my presence. It's been too long.
So you know what's really really hard? Planning your 2 week spring break which spans 4 countries (5 if you count a day-trip to Monaco.) Yah. You have to book hostels without knowing how sketchy or chill they'll be, without knowing if the other people in your room will be thieves or really hot guys you ending up doing, without knowing really how early you'll have to check out to make it to that train you want to catch.
The trains are another story. It's not like they could have direct routes or anything. I mean, honestly, you could so just go through the Alps. Also it's hard to find schedules and prices of little non-eurail trips, like the bus to Toledo or the bus to Gibraltar or the ferry to Tangier. Also Morocco? Yeah, you. Get a fucking English version of your rail website! I mean c'mon! Not ALL of us read French and Babelfish can only do so much.
But aside from all of this insanity in booking and planning and spending (I will be completely in debt come May) it's still wicked exciting! But of course other sucky things have to prevent total happiness, right? Like the fact that I only got a B on the first Orgo exam, or the fact that I'm sick again and even threw up Monday night for the first non-alcohol-related time in years. But the crem-de-la-crem ...
Erik is coming to London for his Spring Break. I know, I know, gasp, squeal, omigod, you're getting laid ... but NO! Guess when his Spring Break is? Exactly. Same fucking time as mine. So he'll be here in the chilly rain pining away for me while I'm basking in the Swiss Alps, or the South of France, or the Spanish Sun, or in the Moroccon bazaar.
Crap. My head is getting fuzzy. I've been staring at a computer screen far too long today doing my travel research. And I'm coming rightback as soon as my Biology discussion section is over at 6, postponing the making of my kickass dinner. I marinated some beef in sesame oil w/ some minced garlic. I can't fucking wait to make it and eat it!
Ok, love from London. Speaking of I can see the British museum right outside this computer lab window. Maybe I should go someday seeing as how it's free ... huh ...
